DSM Procurement (DSMP)
DSMP is responsible for the procurement of all capital equipment and equipment related services and consumables as well as all corporate, multi-discipline and ancillary requirements.
DSM as a MASH sector entity adheres to the requirements under the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and other national trade agreements. Competitive bids are posted to our tender service partner: Biddingo at www.biddingo.com.
Non-capital equipment and consumables are procured by the specific laboratory and/or Regional Health Authority.
Capital Equipment is considered to be items costing a minimum of $2,000 and associated with Laboratory or Diagnostic Imaging functions.
All capital equipment purchasing and leasing is facilitated through DSMP.
The benefits of this process includes economies of scale, workflow planning and management, adherence to governmental purchasing regulations and ensuring appropriate use of funds, as well as technical compliance with Provincial standards.
DSMP recognizes the value of good supplier relationships in order to meet Diagnostic Services of Manitoba patient needs.
